Hiring the right person.
It may come as a surprise to some, but when we recruit new staff, we are less concerned about a person’s background, education and previous experience, than we are about people with the right personality and the right qualities. We believe that as long as you have the right personality and qualities, the rest is simply down to us giving you the right training to do the job.

The type of people we’re looking to recruit are honest, hardworking people with plenty of common sense, who take ownership of what they do and can show initiative. Also, to be successful with us, you must be a team player and be very customer service oriented.

Since GObowling commenced business in April 2002, we’ve given numerous staff members the opportunity to progress from the junior level of Team Member through to Team Leader positions, as well as on to the Management Team itself. In fact, we pride ourselves on our track record of promoting from within our own organisation, rather than recruiting for senior positions from outside the company. Promoting from within is always our preferred option.

Our front line employees are also offered ways of improving their pay early on in their careers with GObowling. Since we want our staff to be versatile, we encourage them to train up in our different departments, and those that do are financially rewarded.
